First Place Program clarifies income requirement
“The strong response to the July 8th program announcement has resulted in substantial interest from first-time homebuyers and questions regarding income eligibility,” explains Terry Loat, Housing Branch Manager, City of Edmonton. “Our over-riding intent with this program is to put home ownership within reach. Five major institutions have joined the First Place Program. They are familiar with the First Place Program and have assigned staff to assist mortgage applicants with the mortgage application process (includes the 5 year land deferral payments and reduced CMHC mortgage insurance rate).
